My Song Choice

The song I have chosen for my music video is a song written and performed by my friend, Zena Taylor, and I selected this song for quite a few reasons: It's original, and I wish for my video to stand out and be of a high standard, which is a big part of it. It is also a good song, one worthy of a video, and finally it was easy to contact the owner and make a video of the song with her permission - I didn't have to stress over sending multiple emails and negotiating with a band over what I can and can't do.

The song is quite sorrowful and dark, which is perfect for what kind of video I wish to make. I prefer things with a darker undertone. The genre is also pop, which is convenient, since I did a lot of research into people like Taylor Swift. The One is also about the popular theme of relationships, which makes the video more convenient - I won't have to recreated Jamiroquai's virtual insanity video.
